That is beautiful Tony. Excellent work, this is a full on passion in you now isn't it? I remember reading on the Spyderco forums a when you started the Project Kopa. Good to see someone doing something they are passionate about.
A little OT: I've been meaning to ask you since you gave us a peek at your Endura drawer, are those dowel rods in the drawer olding the knives in place? Could you share how you did that? Thanks!

Very nice work, Tony:thumbup: They look great.

I too use the craftsman tool chests for knive storage. The shallow drawers are perfect for knives.

thanks guys. as for the dowels, i use some plywood then layout where i want the dowels. cut the wood about 1/2"-1" short of the drawer size. drill about half way into the wood. cover with some colored paper (mine are file holders). make an X cut where the dowels are then put that tool drawer stuff down (i cant think of the name of it). i pull it tight and hammer tack the edges. hammer the dowels into place and that is it.

Awesome collection Tony!
The Dino Bone Kopas are amazing! They're a great little knife. :D

You could use some Kingwood. Just make sure that the wood is nice and dry - keep the cut scales for at least 3 or 4 months inside to air dry before using to avoid any splits.
The wood is going to come wet, unless you can get some that is kiln dried.
It is a really nice ironwood. I have a sword that has a Kingwood handle.

Brilliant system. I'm going to give it a shot. Anymore Kopas in the works? Maybe one with some Turquoise/Red Coral? Hmmm? lol

Looks good Tony! After seeing your thread over on the Spyderco forums last month I called up a friend of mine who has some dino bone and he's sending me some. Looks like you beat me to making a dinokopa, however. Only bad thing is that now that I've got handle materials on the way, the cheap Kopas have disappeared off eBay. Maybe I'll get lucky and make it to the factory clearance sale this year and pick me up 15 or 20 kopa seconds! You've certainly inspired me to want to make some of my own!
