Those things are AWESOME! I had no idea such a knife existed at all! What a work of art those things are! They're about $2K give or take, and would be an incredibly memorable family heirloom. I enjoy having a nice knife to open boxes or whatever, but how cool would it be to have something made out of a fossilized mastodon tooth with a flipped out Damascus blade on it!

I'm due to graduate next December, and would gladly skip the $1400 solid gold class ring to have a classy and outrageously unimaginable pocket knife like a WH dinosaur bone rig with my class designation engraved on the side.

Santa fe stoneworks also makes some. they're probably not as nice as the WH but the price is a lot nicer.

William Henry knives are incredible. Find somewhere to hold one though because they are really small.

If you are going to get $1500 worth of jewelry for graduation, plan for the future. Make sure it is easy to pawn and sell in case your life takes you into a situation that you need money fast. Get a gold ring, not a school ring but good jewelry. For a stone, get a ruby not diamond. It will hold its value for a long time and always be on your hand in case you need money quick.

If you want something that will hold it's value and you need it next December, get on a custom makers list. If you can score a desirable custom you'd be able to sell it on here and probably make money on it. If you don't want to lose money on gold, you're better off buying coins, not jewelry.

Hey, it's your celebration so get what you like. You would not be disappointed in a WH, and the do hold their value fairly well.

I do like the idea of checking out some customs, though. For that kind of $$$, you can find some extreme stuff. Check out Knifeart.com, or something similar, or just look at the "Knives 2012" or 2013 books. You can get damascus, pearl, mastadon/mammoth ivory, even meteorite.

I have several WH knives and I absolutely love them! Also have some other accessories like cuff links, bracelets etc.... To me, the knives are a work of art I display. I do carry a lower end model as well daily. When I'm going out for the evening I pick a knife to match my watch And outfit. The quality is outstanding, and the materials can be as exotic as anyone's. Well, and as exotic as you can afford lol trust me, if you love one of his knives, you will not have buyers remorse!
