I was at Staples recently and gave into the urge to buy one of these pens. Since I often have to write in very cold temperatures, I felt the pen would be a plus. Wrong.

Instead of wasting the $7 I should have purchased another Space pen. The ink is "leaky" and globs up often. Since we've had cold weather here lately, I had ample opportunity to test it's performance. To get it to write, you have to exert a lot of pressure and even still, the ink is very "faint" or light on the paper.

Bottom line is that I should have heeded other posts I've seen here and skipped the pen.

Maybe I'll just get a Fisher refill and try that.

I saw thos e the other day at Staples, and almost splurged. Glad I didn't. My Space Pens have not let me down yet, and I just scored a few refills for it for $.40 each.

I got one recently at Staples and have been using it for work. I, too, have to write in the cold, on a wall, etc. It hasn't been too bad of a pen. It does write kind of lightly, though; especially on Manila folders. For twice as much, you can get the bottom of the line model Fisher Space pen. I have that one too, and just don't like it. I prefer a click pen, it is so much handier. I don't like the two piece job, soetimes it sticks. The pocket clip keeps coming off; and most importantly, the ink globs quite often. My 0 Gravity has yet to do that.

I will take the Diplomat for half the price, easily.
