Direware lock up problems?

Hi Yall

just got a very nice solo v4 from a very nice fellow on secondary market

just got knife today and I can get lock to slip when I grab tip and try a create some movement...it seems after I cleaned lock face with a qtip it has went away....is this a possible fix to this problem on this knife??? maybe there was some grease on it??..there was a lil black residue but will dirt or grime cause lock to slip or is a flaw?

Sounds like you answered your own question. Always a good idea to do a thorough cleaning before investigating a problem further. How is the lock up now and and is the lock difficult to disengage?

hi rycen no its not sticky at all..it seems after a lil qtip action its locking up soild....im just wondering if this is to good to be true..lol
