Dirk Tang Question

Just starting a Dirk build. Previously i have just shaped the tang to the shape of the final handle, but id like to try a hidden tang this time.
Would the shape of this tang be suitable

That will be more than robust enough. I would probably go a bit thinner for ease of fitting.
 
Here is how I shape the hidden tang dirks I make

Ditto on the shape.

By the time all is done, there is usually a tad of taper in width towards the end. Be sure to have a distal taper toward the end in the thickness, too.
