Disappearing Post

I had posted, with some personal commentary, a part of an article from the current Time Magazine. The part that I posted was a short essay by Francis Collins on how a scientist could believe in God and in Evolution. I did not post the entire article and I posted links to the article as well as giving credit to the magazine. I posted it on 8/11/05 to the "New Intelligent Designs" thread on the Political Arena. This entire post seems to have diappeared without any explanation. Can anyone tell me what happened?
 
Not sure, have you tried to search by your username?
 
Yes, Spark, I have. The post is gone. Perhaps it never posted, as I have had a couple of recent posts lock up on me; perhaps this one did the same and I didn't notice when i shut down my PC.
 
Or you might have hit "Preview" and forgotten you had done that and closed the window believing your message had posted successfully. I've made that mistake. :o
 
It doesn't explain anything but I did see the post that FullerH speaks of before it disappeared; it was definetely posted.
 
That has happened to me on about 5 occasions here in the last few year or two. I never said anything, because I didn't want anyone thinking I was nuts, but now that other guys I know are having the same issue.
 
The same sort of thing happened to me last night. I thought I started a new thread (my filthy keyboard one in W&C), and it wasn't there. I was sure I did it right, but since it disappeared, I figured I messed it up. About 99% sure. Now I'm only 50% sure.

I'm not saying there's necessarily something wrong with the board, but it wouldn't hurt for everyone to keep an eye out.
