Bought the BK 7 & BK 9 from a dealer at Blade West today. I should have check the purchase before leaving but did not. To my disappointed, when checking the knife at home, the snap on the BK7 sheath was broken. There was no way the dealer could not have noticed the broken snap when the knife was sheathed by them. This was the last BK7 they had & it was an open stock item. The dealer pulled one on me & made it my problem. I will never buy anything from this dealer again. This was also the first time I bought any Camillus knives & it might be the last time. I will be sending the dealer an email. :barf:

I can see where you'd be disappointed with the dealer if you believe he was aware of the problem before selling the knife to you, but I don't see how you can put Camillus in the middle of it as if they had something to do with it.

Or perhaps for you a defective snap is enough to dismiss the oldest cutlery company in the nation over. Not sure where you're going with this.

Bottom line is that I'm sure Camillus will take care of the problem if you just take the time to ask. (A polite email or telephone call would probably get it done for you.)

Fire Horse,
Sorry to hear about your sheath problem. I'm sure Will will take care of the problem. I know he has been having computer problems of late. If you don't hear from him in an acceptable amount of time, give customer service a call at 1-800-344-0456. Camillus has excellent customer service. Don't give up on Camillus products just yet.

Sorry to hear of your defective sheath snap. If you like well made production knives, then please don't give up on Camillus. The sheath you got was somehow overlooked and I'm sure it was unintentional. Per Cheryl's recommendation, do get in touch with Camillus and they will shoot a new sheath out to you right away. Or you can email Will Fennell and he will see to it everything is made right. The men and women of Camillus stand 100% behind the products they manufacture.

Camillus will do you right! Even if the dealer messed ya up, Camillus WON'T! Will and Wallace and top notch individuals and stand behind their products. As has been said before, bad things happen, it is how people choose to make up for them that counts!:D :D
Now, for therapy's sake, go chop something to peices with one of them. You'll feel better and be thoroughly convinced that you DO NOT want to give up on Camillus!;) :D ;)

You are on your OWN now! ;)

I think mis-installing a snap so that it falls apart isn't an uncommon thing in the fashion industry, not to say making sheaths.
I think that blowing Camillus off just because of a snap that fell apart would be kind of silly. Wal-Mart probably sell a lot more defective products and they don't seem to slow down.
Just as everyone said, contact Will and he'll make things right.

That looks like a somewhat minor problem and there's a chance that the dealer might have not noticed it (for whateve reason)if the knife was in the box or whatever. I wouldn't make a drama out of it and cross out Camillus especially for what the company has done because one out of a million sheath's is defected. things like that happen in the production knives and even if you're upset about the sheath, I'm sure the BK&T knife will make up for it.

Firehose,
First I would like to thank you for becoming a CAMILLUS/BK&T customer. Secondly I would like to make sure that you are a happy customer! Whether the sheath left our plant with a faulty snap, or it happened later, we will stand behind it 100%. Please give me an email, and I will help you make arrangements to get it taken care of ASAP. Or you can call the "800" number....800-344-0456, and the ladies in customer service will be glad to help. Either way, we will get you a new sheath out right away.

How did you like the knives?

I look forward to hearing from you....
