I have 2 original NCO swords one with a great blade & one with a great grip assembly. I have looked everywhere for information on how to disassemble the cast handles so that I may combine the best parts from both models into one nicer display piece. It appears as though the handle assembly is placed over the tang end and then hammered over the end of the brass to secure, so my guess would be to use a block on the face of the clamshell guard and knock the handle off, this straightening the end of the tang...........but, just guesses. I do not want to screw either model up to the point that neither is worth display. Thanks to all in advance.
