Disassemble boker magnum compact safe? would like to re-anodize it.

What common stuff could I use to remove the anodized layer? Soaked it in oven cleaner and brushed it... not working.

Anodizing cannot be removed with over cleaner. You must either go to a stronger chemical (not recommended for health, safety, and environmental reasons) or have the handles and blade sand blasted clean. This will allow a better surface for your new coating to adhere to.

That's what I was thinking. I'd be wearing my chem-resistant gloves and a good pair of goggles while working with that stuff.
