Disassembling a Strider AR

Do you need a spanner key to disassemble a strider AR, or any strider for that manner? If so, is there any way of taking one apart without using the key?

Yes, you need a spanner tool, if you're the kind of guy that likes to have the right tool for the job. I'm sure there are other ways, but they may or may not chew up your pivot.

one of these works fine, they are all of a couple bucks at a bike shop.
There have been a few threads covering this on bladeforums, in one of the others there was a link to a gent who makes these strider tools for pretty cheap.
