Disassembly of Boa?

My duty carry knife is a black plain edge Boa and although it's seen hard use, it's holding up really well, particularly the cutting edge. However, the black coating on the blade has become scuffed. I'd like to take it apart and polish the black coating off. What is the process for taking it apart and reassembling? Is it difficult? I take my Benchmades apart for cleaning but am unsure about the spring assist mechanism on the Kershaws.
Thanks,
Rich

Richard, the process is not hard at all, however, I'm sure it will void the warranty if something happens in the process. I took mine apart, as I do all my knives, and put it back together without any problems. First thing you want to do is OPEN the knife so that it takes the tension off the torsion bar. Next, disassemble as you would any BM or other knife. When you get it open pay attention to how the torsion bar is positioned, as you will want to make sure it is in the proper postion when you close is up. Polish your blade and then reverse the sequence. Good luck.

Thanks guys, the project will start this week-end. One can always rely on help from the great bunch here!!!!
