Discernable difference in carry comfort between 3.5" & 4"?

Does anybody have experience carrying these lengths in "appendix carry" of a Fixed Blade? Does carrying a 3.5" blade provide more comfort or concealability than a 4"?

All legal issues aside, are there any practical reasons for selecting a 3.5" over a 4" blade if one has a choice?

Depends on your body type/build, where the belt line is, style of knife all sorts of things. However I would say if a 3.5 feels fine then a 4 should too unless that extra .5 inches has a weird design on the sheath.

I'm a porker, I have just started carrying a fixed blade as EDC in my area (northern MD and Pennsyltucky). I've been carrying a Barkie mini Northstar in a paddle sheath, a Busse fat Warden in a BCS sheath, and a Farmer EDC made just for me in his sheath. I have tried to carry my Howling Rat as EDC, and it is too big. Right side, belt.

What are the relative sizes of these knives?
