Yesterday, I bought a small Benchmade Mini-Ascent II on sale (my first BM, btw) because it looked like a good little user. I can't find it on the BM website, so I'm assuming this is a "discontinued" model?

Yes, the Ascent series has been DC'd by Benchmade. The closest to it that Benchmade currently offers is the Pika and Mini-Pika.
