I like for the price to settle down ...way, way down . And for longer term reviews to reveal any problems not evident in the "unboxing" .

Trying to sort out want from need and even might actually use (beyond a little initial playtime) .
I enjoy the "foreplay" of research and bargain hunting , sometimes more than the owning past a month or so .
But , inescapably arrives the dread day that a final commitment must be made , when it's probably as cheap as it's gonna get BNIB .

My current quandary is with the Cold Steel 4Max . Great knife I've wanted for a long time , but absolutely don't really need . Plus it's a good 2.5X my normal $100 soft limit . So , I'll be blowing my toy budget for awhile .

Complicating the issue ,CS just introduced the 4Max Scout . Probably near equivalent functionally at under $100 already . But definitely less classy "value" materials .

I believe there's been more times I've regretted letting opportunity slide past , when I noticed the same model later going for classic / vintage / collector $$$$ .

So, I'm leaning towards BUY !
