Let me know your thoughts.

I am reluctantly realizing that the Toby's Knife isn't all that great for kitchen duties:rolleyes:
so I'll be needing something thinner & longer.
The kitchen Utility might be what what I need.

The Kitchen Utility is made from 1/16" stock. Maybe mqqn will see this and post pics of his.

i have admired the Bushcrafter in some of the older posts. that kitchen utility is great. reminds me of a roach belly pattern i have seen other places; though, i am not sure of the "definition" of a roach belly. do you have any finished pics of that kitchen knife? that might be going on my short list. i've always wanted to try a roach belly pattern...and if it's a JK, then wow....

[EDIT] you're quick John! you posted while i was typing. anxiously awaiting mqqn to lay eyes on this. ;) [/EDIT]

Maybe jds1 will post pics of his Roach Bellys, one standard, and one "Lite".

I have one of the original Kitchen Utility Knives - it serves routine duty in the mqqn kitchen, resting in the knife block with the Anorexic Cutlass, the Improved Wharncliffe, and it's sister paring knife

Thanks guys! mqqn, you don`t have one of the originals, you have THE original! Sweet pics!

+1 on the kitchen utility knife. looks like a great slicer and all around food prep knife. i'd also be down for the the bushcrafter as i asked jk about it some weeks ago....

Yea - that's right! John gave me the set for doing the best review of the knife in the passaround - and I am lucky and very pleased to have won it and the paring knife!

The Kitchen Knives are nice and thin!

Which makes for nice thin slices of tomato!

If you ever thought of buying one for the little lady - this one would be it - and I remember that the Boss was actually the designer of this beauty.

And here is little brother - the JK Paring knife - it also resides in the mqqn kitchen block -

I will say that the micarta is much more grippy when wet, as in cutting up tenderloin filets or ribs (as compared to snakewood or burlwood).

this is one that really flew under the radar for the JK fans - I was surprised that more people did not order these fine kitchen tools.

I like the looks of the Tank. I don't think I have ever seen any pictures of that one. I have been fond of the hiker.
