Discontinued or not?

I was at a local gun and knife show this weekend, and one of the dealers had the his entire stock of 300's U.S.A. made Buck slipjoints all labeled "Discontinued". When I asked him if that had been officially announced by Buck that the American made line was discontinued he said "yes". But from passed dealings with this individual, I am not certain that this wasn't just a marketing ploy on his part, as he had also jacked up the prices of them noticably.

I've asked this before on here and at stores and this is the first time anyone has said that they were for sure discontinued.

Anyone from Buck have a definate answer?

Are the U.S.A. made 300's done?

The standard 300 series knives are in the 2005 catalog and I would be shocked if they were to be discontinued any time soon.

Thanks, I have seen some ebay sellers implying the same as this dealer, but I found it odd that I had not seen anything that actually came from Buck that said they were disc.

We still make and ship these daily. Might be some confusion with our move. We sold some labeled last production run, meaning last run in El Cajon

Thanks, yes I have one of the one's stamped that way, but as you say they are pretty clearly marked "El Cajon". I haven't noticed any of my usual online stores "running out" which led me to think you were still making them. I somewhat suspet that with the move and the introduction of the asian line, (which I own and like BTW), some dealers are using the confusion to gouge buyers.

Thanks for clearing that up!
