Discontinued SAKs

Found one at a gun show a couple of weeks ago but the seller would come down from $65. He had no idea what it was worth, so had me throw out a price to start negotiation. Bad form on his part as he was selling. Main blade was etched with Abercrombie and Fitch from when they were an outfitter. Knife was lightly used, but the small blade was buggered up as if someone had taken a grinder to it. He had me throw out the first price so I threw out $50. He countered with $65 and then wouldn't budge an inch. Took all I could muster to say, "no, I just can't do that and walk away". If the blade had been messed with, I'd probably offered more than $65. No regrets here (especially since the small blade was buggered up).
 
I think the lifetime warranty offers repairs as well as replacements so it's possible they could have replaced/fixed the blade on it. As much as you might not see one again it was likely a good decision. Depending if my wife was with me or not would have determined if I bought it.
