Discontinued SOG Knives

I have a SOG Tsunami and a SOG Government Agent that I have had for a number of years. Both are very nice knives and are made in Japan. It appears as though these have been off the SOG roster for awhile. I thought I would look into some of the new SOG knives, but they seem to be mostly made in Taiwan. I'm not interested in Taiwanese manufacturer knives. Even the bigt SOG bowies are made in Taiwan according to AG Russell. Anyway, I wanted to post links to pics of the SOG Tsunami and SOG Government Agent.

Yep, it's a Tsunami.

But the Northwest Ranger and (I think) the regular Seal Series (not elite) are still made in Japan.

Those are nice knives, but I try to buy locally made products as much as possible.

About 5 years ago I bought a Flash II. I lost it, and bought a new one.
The new one just doesn't have the same "feel" as the old one does.
Is this because they switched manufacturers?

The older Tsumani didn't have the finger guard on the handle.
I have the newer version with the finger guard as pictured.

Those are good looking knives, and very similar to my Gov Agent. I almost like the regular stainless better. I'm disappoint SOG is making so much stuff in China and Taiwan now.

I didn't know that Revolver model was discontinued. That really aggravates me that products get discontinued so frequently. If it's good enough to make, make it and stick with it. I often don't buy knives that I know are limited or that I suspect won't stay around.
