Hi all. I was wondering if there was anywhere I could get a look at a Pegasus. I just picked up my second Police SS. Damn those are solid knives!
Thanks

Sorry, forgot to ask one more question. I've got an old Spyderco that seems to be the suregrip one, except it has a smooth stainless handle with no rubber inserts. It has a G2 blade. Anyone know what model this is and if it is still available anywhere?

Thanks,
Ian

You need to give better description. At least Rookie, Standard, Delica, Native and Worker are old medium sized spydercos with SS handles and no rubber inserts. Standard and Worker are discontinued. Worker is the knife with esp. thin tip that is sharpened on top side too. Rookie looks like Police and Standard quite much like Delica.

ProGrip and Spur are small skinners with SS handles and rubber inserts.
There might have been Spurs and ProGrips without rubber but I don't know.

Let's wait for better answers.

It's definitly a pro grip. Drop point blade, same dimensions, etc. It just doesn't have the "grip" inserts. I was wondering if it had a name. I'm sure it was the forerunner of the progrip.

Thanks

How big is it? It could be a Hunter C03, or an Executive C04, or the old Pro-Hunter (became provenator). Look on the history page of the Spyderco web page. If you have a pic it would be easier to tell you for sure. Good luck.

The knife is exactly the same as the Pro Grip SS but without the Kraton inserts.

Length Blade 2 13/16" 71mm
Length Closed 3 7/8" 98mm
Length Cutting Edge 2 5/8" 67mm
Length Overall 6 5/8" 168mm

I can't post a pic.

did you want to see pictures of a pegasus? I just got mine and haven't taken any yet but maybe tonight I can get some up. it's a pretty cool little knife

By the description its sounds as if you have a Hunter model. Same size as the kraton insert with just a slightly different blade shape.

Well, I've figured out my knife is a hunter model. Now if I can find another to buy.
Thanks for the pic of the Pegasus. I've been wanting to get a smaller knife and was debating between a SS Copilot or a SS Pegasus. I found a place that sells both but no pics so I had no idea what it looked like.
Thanks for the pic.
Ian

If it helps at all the Pegasus has been referred to by a couple of forumites as their "improved Co-Pilot." I think the handle of the pegasus has a better grip. I like mine anyway
