Do the Sebenza 21 Unique Graphics models that have been discontinued worth more on the secondary market?

I would imagine so. It all depends on which design it is and who wants it that badly. For example, I have been looking for another Native American CGG. This was on the regular sebenza platform. The regular sebenzas go for a bit more anyways these days, but add a hard to find CGG and your asking for a bit more. Someone did offer me one, but at $800+, I was not about to buy it. One recently went on the exchange for $400. That's a Steal for sure. Some people know what they have when selling something, others don't. But Yes, some designs will go for more down the road, even the 21's that have been discontinued, even a short while ago.

Since by definition Unique graphics should be one -of-a-kind, they cannot be discontinued???Or replicated??? Bart

I'm sure that CGG's are a premium over un-decorated, and that some designs were more popular/sought aftrer than others . There are some dealer limiteds that make me wonder what the production numbers look like, in other words how many were made. I'd love a large "Come and Take it" is Dammascus too much to ask???!!! I stand corrected. I think I mean CGG. Computer Generated Graphics?

I guess I misread your original post. CGG ( computer generated graphics ) are made for a number of years before being discontinued to offer new designs. Once they are gone, they are gone and then the tough search begins for one you may have missed. CRK will not make a CGG once they are gone, trust me, I have asked.........UG ( unique graphics ) on the other hand are some times the same graphic, ( take the night sky for instance ) but there are hand done by Lisa and even though the same design, no two are alike because they are just that, custom. UG you can get done anytime, but there are some restrictions. If you want colors, you must get a new knife though CRK as colors cannot be added to an existing knife. With an existing knife, you are limited to reverse silver contrast or a design with a blasted over finish. UG are one off design also that if you see one, Lisa can duplicate it to look as close as possible.

I have always been a HUGE fan of CGG designs and some of the newer ones have really caught my eye. But unfortunately, being a CRK nut is an expensive hobby and I have to pick and choose and sell to get the ones I covet most.....;-)

Excellent summary as always, Nyefmaker. I might also add that if the UG to be reproduced was a CRK original (conceived of and designed by Chris, Scott, Lisa, etc.), CRK is likely to fulfill the request. If, however, it is a design that was conceived of by and designed for a specific customer, CRK is quick to honor that customer by requesting his/her permission, and will not likely reproduce the design without it.
