I was looking through an old Ironstone catalog (are they out of business? I can't find them online now) and saw a Michael Walker custom collaboration that I really like. However, I can't find it on the Spyderco site. Has it been discontinued? I can't say I've paid much attention to Spyderco in the past, but I'm starting to like their designs now. This particular knife has a 2.5" blade, kinda stubby, Linerlock w/ ball bearing detent. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, and where I might be able to find one? Thanks!

The Michael Walker clipit has been discontinued for some time. You might want to try posting a WTB ad here on Bladeforums or maybe Ebay.

You can run accross the FRN version on Ebay rather often. It's a neat little knife, I actually picked mine up and played with it a little this morning.

I have an FRN version that I got from A.G. Russell some time ago. It's a nice, light knife that disappears in my pocket.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but FRN is what, exactly?

Thanks for the info on the Walker. Why was it discontinued? It looks like a sweet little knife.

Had the pleasure of handling one in a store in Japan, CF version. Very nice but out of my price range. Here's one someone is selling on Ebay:

knifecenter.com has 'em listed for 46.95 (though not that snazzy carbon fiber model...).

Now, the listing was on their Spyderco page until just recently, and now it ain't. So there's a chance they don't have any left. I'd give 'em a call before placing an order.

The listing is at:

If that link doesn't work, just search for "walker" (no quotes), and it'll be on the second page. Good luck!

Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon- in other words, similar composition to Zytel. I belive Spyderco uses higher glass content for greater sturdiness and stability than most other manufacturers using FRN composites.
I asked the same idiot question about a year ago. :)

Actually I believe the Ironstone exclusive was the almite handled Walker. I have had a few, just traded the last extra I had.
