I have seen some pictures of japanese tools posted on BF before, but I had never searched them out on my own. There are many very affordable quality tools to be had.

Today I found something that I am absolutely going to have to buy. It is a japanese hatchet. It is kind of like a hatchet and a machete combined; a Hachete. Or a meat cleaver and a machete; a macheaver, or cleav-ete.

(Not to mention all the simple folding knives with laminated blades. It is a new outlet for the addiction.)

Anyway, I am sure a lot of you have seen this, and I bet it would make a great woods tool. Since I just bought a new axe, it is going to be a while before I get this, but it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine.

I've seen these before and they are pretty sweet. Anybody know of a good site to order them off of? Seems knifecenter.com has a bunch.

Check out Okatsune tools if you can find them. (hedge shears, loppers, hand pruners) They're the best in the world and make German, USA and Swiss tools seem like junk.
