Discovered a way to find the steel on the LMF 2.

I was watching some vids on youtube and one guy was talking about the serial number on his LMF 2. He states that the letter on the end of the serial number states what generation it is and when it was made (A being that sanvik steel, b being the 440 and c being the 420HC). If theres one thing I know about what people on these forums hate about the LMF 2 its what steel is on their model and the serrations.

Some of you probably already knew this but if your in the knife market and if you are considering an LMF 2 (or already own one) this might be handy to know.

Well, that knife seems to be in the sixty-dollar range, and so you get what you get.
IMO, the "good stuff" would be about two hundred, but not everyone can do that...
 
Yeah, back in 2010, I was on hold with gerber for 20 mins so they could tell me what steel it was, and velveeta yeah, that's knife had angle issues and the hall serrated one is worse.
