Yeah, I had been bad... strayed to MI's UP and some BRK&T examples since Christmas. Saturday found me looking at a bp #503 Prince for $25 at Wally World. My wife snuck back and bought one for me , picking out a pretty-scaled - and perfect - variant. I was impressed when I opened the clam shell pack. The blade is a shaver - and locks/unlocks like my custom 110s. As long as I forget that the dimunitive Prince is a few cents more than the super-bargain-priced, and much bigger, 110, I'm okay.

What do you guys think of the #503 - and what do you carry it for??

Thanks!

I have a 501 and a 2 503's. Truth be told the 503 can do just about any small to medium cutting task you can ever throw at it. You'll never knnow it's in your pocket. It's one weakness would be self defense. It's a real cutting tool.

My wife bought me one for Christmas this year. So far I really like it. I Love the Nickel/Silver bolsters on it.

I had a prince customized a bit for my wife. Call it the "Princess". She uses it, but just when we go trout fishing really.

I bought one too around Christmas time and like it.. It does hide in your pocket pretty easiy and is up for most basic cutting chores. It's a simple and classic looking pocket knife.. Good choice.

I am carrying a stag 503 today. Women seem to like this knife. My first Buck was a 503, a gift from my wife.
