If a thread like this doesn’t already exist, I thought it would be kind of cool to have a place where people could share details about any vintage slipjoint that they acquired that has some historical or interesting significance. I am not aware of any in my collection that do other than maybe the Chris Sharp‘s that I own that has the special escutcheon that he patented but those are not vintage so maybe in a 100 years I’ll be back. Would love to hear about knives you’ve come across that were maybe owned by some historical figure or part of some significant event in history and how you found out about it.

Anyway, would invite you to share a story here.

The only one I have is this Schrade I*XL I bought of the bay that was owned by Irv Trachtenberg, a Schrade manager. I liked the knife, the provenance was extra.

believe they call that thread "old knives"

Thank you, I tried searching a few different ways for something like this.

As far as I know, none of my few vintage knives were previously owned by anyone of historical (at the Local/State/National/Planetary level) note.
Far more likely that all pervious owners were forgotten (if even noticed) by history, just as I will be ... if history even noticed me, which I doubt. 😁👍
