Daily Planet recently had a 4 part special on Japanese armour, swords, polishing, cutting physics, and stronghold architecture.

Take a look at the one on making the swords and the on on polishing. I'm wondering how accurate the information is as Discovery is known to put out some pretty inaccurate programs sometimes...
