Hey all. A friend and fellow forumite lent me his La Griffe and asked me to come up with some sort of rig allowing him to wear it comfortably and discretely horizontaly on his hip to be drawn with his right hand. Here's what I came up with. Any opinions and suggestions are welcome...

I incorporated its original facory sheath making a shell that holds itflush with the eliminating the bulk of a tek lock or other belt loop. It can be drawn with ease especially with a lanyard and s very hard to see even with just a t-shirt over it. Take care all.

Nicely done, man. That's a great place for an EDC. I've long been a fan of horizontal carry myself, albeit usually with much larger knives.

One point - the front of your body is awfully visible, compared to the back. When you reach into your pockets, when you undo your jacket, when you stop at a urinal, whatever; the chances of your knife being inadvertently revealed are alarming.
Have you considered mounting it on the front-rear side of the body? It would be less conspicuous, and would allow you to draw into an icepick grip, if you needed to use it as a weapon.

Hangs down a little low, which might compromise some stealth, especially against light colored pants.

What I have been doing, is I attach the stock sheath to my (black) belt with (black) Zip Ties. I shove the sheath in under a loop, which helps hide even more. Against the black belt (which is wider than it is), it's very stealthy......

Thanks for the critiques gents. I should have mentioned it wasn't designed as much with SD in mind. By discreet, it was more to do with sheeple. He wanted to EDC it without having it out in the open like wearing it on the neck chain or having it bulge out with the Tek Lock. Carrying concealed for SD isn't a wise idea here in Canada. So with this it leaves the knife in a easily accessible location, out of public sight without being overtly hidden and it is comfortable standing or sitting.
