Dished hanging strop!

Got a nice new russian red leather hanging strop to go with my new razor. However, I noticed the strop is kinda dished. Meaning if I pull the razor down it the sides of the strop make contact, but the center of the strop does. I tried working the leather with my hands to get it into shape, but is there an official way to de-dish a hanging strop? I don't think plate glass and silicon lapping compound will do the trick here.

If you have a couple of uniform flat objects(e.g. sheets of glass), you could put the strop between them and then weigh down the top sheet.

Or perhaps, you could use an iron(off), if the surface underneath the strop is flat, you should have no problems.
