I picked this up today from Pottery Barn.
The inside width of the box is 9 inches.
Knives over 9 inches can be displayed at a slight angle
If you space knives close together you can display several knives.
I plan on using this as "tray" style so I can open and grab any knife for carry.
I also had it standing (like a picture frame) with a pin through the lanyard hole and a pin under the blade to support the weight of the knives and hold them in place. The box was 34 dollars.

Those pottery barn displays are nice. I saw some oak display cases on Ebay for a little less which included a key and colored foam 18x12x2.

I think if it's from Pottery Barn, you're not allowed to let it get near your Emersons... by definition... ;)

Actually I ran a search on e-bay for shadowboxes to see if there would be anything suited for knives, the ones I saw with the proper dimentions was Pottery Barn. SO... I went to pottery barn and bought one.

Pretty nice display. What were you doing in Pottery Barn?
are you trying to get back at me for asking you why you would hurt a cardboard box?? I guess now we are even :D

Yeah just trying to be a smarta$$ I guess. We're even.:D
Tell the truth, what you got there is a good idea because I have a few knives in my EDC rotation that I would like to see right off hand before deciding which to pick-up. I guess we may run into each other in Pottery Barn!:D

This is where the "don't ask, don't tell" policy comes in handy. :D

Kinda like holding the female's purse while she's in the changing room, when you get dragged out shopping. :p
