I've been shopping around for a display case for the ol' collection. The wife thinks that if I'm going to keep buying INFI, I might as well have a place to store them besides the safe.

So I'm shopping for a moderately classy looking display case. I have a relatively small collection, but I expect it to grow. (about 30 folders, 10 fixed - largest being a ASHBM)

What would you all recommend for display? What do you use? If it were to lock by some rudimentary means, that would also be a plus, but isn't necessary.

Thank you!

Check out local arts and craft stores like michales or hobby lobby they have a lot of frames and shadow box type display cabinets.

I've been in your shoes...............
I use a few methods.
I've got your wall hangers. Lock is on the top.

Then I refinished an old Gerstner Machinist Chest (from your part of the country...Central Ohio)

They all lock...but are certainly not theft proof.
I also have a few safes

I would say to go look at the readily available Oakley display cases or something similar. I like the Oakley ones because they are aluminum, and look all modern/mechanical looking. There are other display stands and stuff out there, but I just like the simple look Oakley pulled off. Just get something to cover the Oakely, and you're good to go. All three of these here are on ebay for sale currently:

There are some very awesome looking cases pictured here. Good luck in your search!

on the wallhangers, what hold the knives in place?

I was actually just looking at those Oakley cases the other day. Only problem is that I was gonna use them for my Oakleys. Never even thought of putting knives in them.

Thanks.....I've got two smaller old cases I picked up to refinish, because I'm already running out of room.

i just designed a dedicated wall mounted knife display case - it will be finished within the next weeks... gonna post pics asap!

I've seen people use ones like this to hang there knives on..

I use a gun case that slides under the bed

Pegboard does make a very versatile display. Can be changed anytime to fit in new blades.

Garth

I like the peg board . Simple, but once the knives are on there I assume it will look assume

Peg board works great and makes your buddies say "WOW" :)

don't mind the sombreros :)
