What is the best wood to use for display cases. Are some types more prone to promote rust?Any opinions?Any help would be appreciated.Thanx, breeze

You have asked a two part question, and I will attempt to answer both parts.
1) I have access to Bontrager bicycle crank boxes, which appear to be basic laminate wood. I don't find any condensation inside, but I open the boxes and wipe the knives periodically. I also have laminate stocks on my varmint rifles, which go to a dusty dry environment, and then back to moist Wisconsin. I never have a touch of warping.
2) As for 'types of woo,' I am Sicilian, so I prefer 'pitched woo.' In fact, preparation is quite enjoyable. I feel like pitching woo right now...--OKG
