Anyone use a display rack for thier knives??

I wanna make one and need some ideas.

Post 'em up!

I doubt anyone here has/uses one since RATs are for heavy using! I cant even imagine one up on a display somewhere!

I anticipated this response LOL!!

I should mention that I am carving the wood for the stand with my knives...

My blades are only on display when I pull them out to put them to work.
Now, a buddy of mine displays his collection on a wall in his cabin with each knife resting on brass hooks mounted to wall plaques made from laquered tree stump sections.
Very classy. Of course none of those are users.

yea you are probably right, most times I don't even think that there are other sections to post lol

How about a chunk tree trunk cut at a skew with the tips of all your users stuck in it so you can pick one and grab it on the way out the door.

That sounds awesome :D

....I have a tree trunk lying around. Sweet.

ROFLMAO

A displayed collection of RAT's is like a jewelry showcase full of hammers.

Hammers can be cool! Sort of...

Pics are from random websites, but I think these designs are sweet.

Anyway, if you want to show your RATs, you don't want to make a display. I'd definitely include wood in my setup, maybe like Adaman said. That'd be cool, but I don't have enough room for that.

I’m not talking a full stump to sit on the ground! You see these all the time for knife displays. Just a 8-10” tall chunk of 8-10” diameter wood or so depending on how many knives you’re going to stick in to it. Can set it on a table or a shelf or whatever.

Or on a similar note you could take a 6” diameter log, cut in half lengthways (baton it with you RAT!), lay the flat side on the table and stick them in the barked side and have them all in a row. You could do one long enough to put on the mantle. The wife would love that.

See, I’m slightly smarter than Mrs. S gives me credit for.

What I'd do is find a fat tree stump, and cut a slice of it. Make it thick enough to put your rats in, but light enough to hang it on a wall or whatever. Hanging it on the wall should be awesome, but if you want to do it horizontally you can make cuts for all the different knives first so the log won't get smashed completely.
Of course, placement and stuff like that is after treating and finishing the wood properly.

I agree with deerhunter mine are perfectly displayed in sheathes and ready for abuse. I cant own a knife and just look at it.
