Does anyone know of a place to buy good knife display stands--preferably wooden ones, and particularly for fixed blade models. I used to know of a few places, but it seems that they no longer carry them.

thanks

Matt

That is strange, just tried it again and same thing happened. It came back undeliverable .. no user found?

Got it John, but what is that @VANCPOWER which is added to your email address when I replied with history to you?

Sorry Matt for going a little off topic here. I appologize Matt!

John made 2 wooden knives for my children not too long ago, he gave away 25 of them for anyone who was willing to pay shipping. I could not recommend him highly enough, the thought and craftsmanship he put into 2 children's toys shows the quality of his woodworking skills in a great way. John, the kids are finally learning to respect the knives and learning about knives in general. Although the heaviest duty they've been through so far is cutting Playdough!

I must say that these are some very nice display stands, but they are a little bit more expensive than I would prefer (that money could be put towards more knives!)

Do you have any cheaper ones?

thanks

Matt

Matt, if John's are too expensive, go to a store that sells stands for decorative plate, like Franklin Mint. These work well for knives. Also, Les Robertson sells very inexpensive knife stands at shows, maybe you should ask him.
