Displaying Knives?

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

I have an antique cabinet that has drawers about 1.5" tall-14 of them. They are sold as "specimen cabinets" or "map chests." I used a Gerstner tool chest, but outgrew it.
I also have a coffee table that has a compartment under the glass top.
Several knives are stuck into boards (I use a rawhide mallet to tap them in) and displayed. I also have one of the old geen-tinted glass cabinets with 2-3 glass shelves.
But then, I have quite a few knives.

I display my Bowies and camp knives in display cases, I do have one shadow box but it takes for ever to get them out. The display cases are easy to get to a knife out, my smaller knives are in an antique glass case. check out the display cases at www.customdisplays.com

I don’t display mine I put them in a tackle box it helps protect them and keeps them organized for when I want to change knives I know right where it is. I also have a tackle box for my sharpening equipment. I would like to get a shadow box to display my older knives I will never carry.

Before my legs broke in a skydive accident I had my folders on 3 lines on my wall, my slippies in a small bath set wooden box on the adjoining wall, my axes are (mostly) in a garden tool tupperware stand up container, more axes nailed to the cross beam in the basement, and my fixed Blades in the slots of a cheap wooden bookshelf. Now my folders and neck knives are in the bottom drawer of my dresser so I can reach them and everything else is beyond me for the meantime.

a machinist tool box with six-eight drawers with dividers in each drawer has been handy to store most all of my folders. I picked them up cheap from Harbor Freight Tools when they go on sale every six months or so. Usually lining the drawers with cork sheeting or the vinyl drawer lining Sears uses for their tool boxes. Anything of any value usually end up in my gun safe.
