Displaying Knives

In displaying knives, do you display them with the blades in the open position, blades partially open or closed? What I am really curious about specifically is does displaying a whittler with the main blade open and the two smaller blades partially open weaken the backspings?
 
Let's try a different venue for your question. Lots of people with experience in this forum.
 
leave your knife open but leaving it half open is not bad leave it open especially if it is a switchblade
 
It will not hurt the springs. Properly made springs don't "take a set" or weaken.
This is also true of switchblades.
