We've been busy this weekend at the Las Cruces Gun & Knife Show displaying our Buck Knife Collection. DM

One of our Gentleman collectors sent me the banner, so here it is in use. Thank you, DM

Your welcome. Thanks to the collectors and Buck Knives we made a lot of new friends and found some old ones as well. Plus, handed out all the Buck literature I had. Hope we see some dust swirling from the activity. DM :)

Great looking displays David,I only wish we had a place I could see something like that here.

Thanks guys, I try to devote some time toward a worthy cause. I've had this table and displayed ever since the 20yr. Reunion in 2008. I too wish some of you lived close enough to come to a show. The restaurant inside this convention center puts out a MEAN bar-b-que beef sandwich. Two of those babies made it worth coming to the show. My wife looked forward to them each day as well. I did see about 6 Buck knives that were cherry and worth the dollars. A 103 from 1980 new in the box, a 105 from 1970's new looking, no box. A statue of Liberty model new in the box, a Freedom series new in the box (all papers), a 3 dot 110 new in the box, a early 3 line Kalinga new in the box with paperwork and a new looking 181 Odyssey with ATS-34 blade. Buck put that steel in it when they first introduced it. A 307 from 1970's in good shape. The rest I saw were badly sharpened. My heart sank when I found a 112 shedua wood model only to open it and find a ground down blade. :( Thanks, Gents, DM

Great display as always David. I'm glad to see the banner being put to good use.

Did you pick up any of the knives that you mentioned?

I didn't but should have as Haebbie collects the statue of Liberty, John has posted pictures of the Freedom series and Oregon likes the Odyssey models, espically the one with ATS-34 blade. Perhaps Craig, needed another 307 Wrangler or the shedua 112. I mostly know who collects what, I should have a number to call when I run into their models. I'm sure I could still track down the seller. Thank you for providing the banner, DM

Desert Dave your displays set the bar quite high as the standard of comparison. I am in awe. Congratulations and thank you for such outstanding work in the name of the marque I admire most. Way to go. You are all right.

You ever find a new-looking Buck 181 with ATS-34 blade steel again I am your man. No question about it. You take that to the bank. You have a memory like that of an elephant.

Do you ever see any George Schrade Wire Jacks at shows in your neck of the woods? I'm missing the Spearpoint #125 (I only have a paper cutout) in this photo: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b188/oregun/Other/10-20-2012GSchradeWireJacksFive5013.jpg

Thank you kindly for the terrific photos of the show.

DM, while I was in the Hardware buisness, we had a lot of shows...I can apreciate how much work goes into them, and wish to say a huge Thank You for your efforts and great looking displays
One of these days I hope to be able to see some of these at a show, but the pictures are nice to see as well. It's awesome that guys like you are out there spreading the word and getting some literature in some interested folks hands

You certainly have an exceptional collection, from the knives to the displays David.

Pleasure seeing it.

Thanks for posting,
Peter

Mr. Martin does live on the edge of both the Wilderness and the U.S.A. Wife and I ventured down there to the Las Cruces Lions Club Knife Show . Nice middle to large sized show, some real characters to meet. A few good Buck collectors in area besides Dave. But not many, they really appreciated the visit. I put up my display, talked, ate good food but only ended up finding a shotgun to buy.....along with a good time with a good host and REAL Mexican food.... I would recommend taking the family on a big trip to Carlsbad Carvens or the Alamo or even a big circle to the Grand Canyon and stopping by to work a local show with Dave. You will have good stories to tell.

Gents, Your so encouraging. Thanks. As Sit said, it is a lot of work but we are glad to give of our time to a good American company and this great bunch of collectors.
Craig, It was not the same without you. Several of the Lions Club guys you visited with at the last show came around and ask where you were. I had to keep explaining, he doesn't live here. He was just visiting. Oh! Oregon, give me some time to track that guy down as I don't think he sold that 181. It had serrations on it. Is that ok? Thanks, again. DM
