Just wondering how the forumites display their HI blades. I'm looking into sword stands and display cases at the moment and any input would be appreciated.

I keep my BAS on a Katana stand one level lower than my T10 Munetoshi katana and it's stand. They compliment each other nicely. Two perfect blades from 2 different cultures.

I almost choked to death on my coffee when I saw those pics! Next time my wife says I have too many blades, I'm gonna show her those pics.

You should look up "Bladite" and see what that man has ;)

And 5 more khuks are not included here but hiding bedside or in various zombie apocalypse backpacks. Many HI forumites have this beat in multiples. The moral is "one is none, two is one, three is two, and two's not enough..." As collections go, collecting khuks is quite affordable (relatively) and there are always holiday presents, but not many other collectibles offer the same utility.

How many of those were sharked from DOTD?

Of the 24 HI products pictured:

15 were sharked from DOTD
5 are from other forumites (on the Exchange or otherwise)
3 are from requests directly to Yangdu (not special orders, just questions as to availability of special models)
and only 1 is from the HI store website

It is indeed a lovely Everest Katana by Rajkumar, and only 43.5 oz at 36.5" long. At the same length, the real zombie slayer though is my 71oz chiruwa tarwar (6th one down in the picture with the samurai sword stand); just let gravity do the work.

Those are among my shortest swords as being 6'4" I prefer sword length of at least 45" OAL, but I don't think I would be able to even lift an HI sword of such proportions if one were ever to be made.

I don't really "display" mine. My CAK hangs in its sheath from a peg in the wall, my Tarwar stands next to my bed, my AK bowie sleeps IN my bed, the others are scattered about.

Hmm, yeah. My display setup echoes Cpl Punishment. Many blades scattered around, in differing states of sharpness and rediment. That said, I am an old , grizilled grouch. I shall continue with my display setup, only because it suits me and my means. And one never knows from which quarter the Zombies will attack! Cheers, Mike.

Its kind of a pain in the butt bringing everything out on the lawn each morning but, you have to do what you have to do!

Love the pics guys, killer collections. I can show those pics to my GF next time she starts with the "Not another one"!! stuff.

I have a 8 sword wall rack coming tomorrow that should help a lot with my small collection, also got a really nice Dragon tapestry I'm gonna try and work into it somehow.

Those pics have managed to make me feel better about my own slow growing collection. I'm nowhere near. I also have a good "At least I'm not like those guys" excuse if I ever do get questioned about any toys I decide to keep. Thanks for the help guys!

Put up my new rack and 4 HI swords. Definitely like the look.

Got the rack for $27 from amazon.com, the cheezy plastic Samurai emblem is going to be replaced by a cool elephant asap.

Looks amazing!
The top and bottom swords are really rare if not unique (even more than usual for handmade art). Are these all made Rajkumar?
The long indonesian sword is next on my list along with a YCS.

Yes Alex, all were made by Rajkumar. The 2 you are talking about both were DOTD's I was very lucky to have sharked.
The "go to" blade for the zombie apocalypse from that rack is def the wood handled Tarwar - perfect balance the handle fits my hand like a glove and it has a very controlled lively feel.
