Collectors: how do you display your knives? Do you prefer display cases with glass lids, those little plastic stands, wooden stands, or do you just keep them rolled up in cloth in the safe? Looking for ideas for displaying 4 or 5 favorites. I like to pick them up and feel the weight in my hand.

I do all the above! Buck makes a plastic stand that holds five knives. Doesn't take up too much room. Personally, I like to display in the old BUCK wooden cases.

I do a bit of "all of the above".

For quick access to goof with, I think the single display stands are an obvious consideration.

Two of my 110 BG-42s, 110 Buff Inlay, wood AG, and stag AG are in a Buck retail display case.

My three oldest 110s are on a one piece Buck display stand.

Single display stands have 110NS BG-42 Koa, Sambar 110 Stainless Damascus, 112 Founder, and 124 LE Stag.

I'm repairing a shadowbox for my 102BR, 109BR, and 120BR to hang on the wall.

My 110 Oakie 100 Yr Anniv Cookie Cutter Cut Out is in it's glass topped display box.

Have loose; an old pre-nail nice 112, 112 BCCI Drop point, and five various 110 knives sitting closed on a dresser (near the display stand mentioned previously).

IF I can get it together, I would like to be like John when I grow up. I dig his display gig. It's the grooviest  . (see JB4570's post above)

Hay fella's,

Buck upright display case, Black scaled 300's. No repeats.

Anybody got a good idea on how to fasten the knifes in case so they can be displayed with tang visible.

Nice display 300Bucks! I love the marlin spike knives. I have a Camillus one identical (or it looks the same to me) as yours on the right. Do you know if Buck made them Camillus or maybe Camillus made them for Buck?

I was wondering the same thing. Asked a drinking buddy and he suggested to have some foam cut to shape. I went to a foam place and they cut a piece for my shadow box. It is just thick enough to hold the knife up against the glass and stable for hanging. $3.00
Only drawback is that you will have to take the display case off the wall to extract a knife or they'll fall out when you open the case.

I still have to fix the box up as I took the glass out and replaced it with clear acyrlic/plastic. The guy that cut the plastic cut it too short :(

315's were Camillus. 4 different variations possible for average human to obtain. One additional really hard one that will cost you lotsa dough and one additional , mite near impossible that only a double naught spy could get.

Display case, those type are upright on their own board pedstal. the cover is plexi' and will scratch and swings open with a lock. I guess I will try holey board covered in velvet with some type of coated florist wire to hold them in place. Just makes letting someone hold one a pain.:(

I shall expand upon my scratch...I had in mind that I might someday start to transport said display to a gathering of knife brothers with their displays. But as you have furthered my thought to a duh moment. I could just take the knives out of the case for the transport part...

Nothing special.
Just the knives by my desk. Rotate them from time to time.

Goose,

It's a lucky thing you were there to save the day with your herd of 110's for that defective beer can. Wow five leaks in one can....I'd complain.

Goose,
Might I suggest using a clear 20 oz plastic coke bottle instead? That way we can still see the nice pretty blades! :D That would actually be a really cool! Cheap too! You could even make it three dimensional and put it on a lazy susan type of platform.

Where can you buy knife cabinets on-line? My 3 drawer antique chest is full up, time for more space.

Mike and Messy...
OK, I left my knives in the Bud can for display on my cabinet but I thought about what ya both wrote:
