So I know that this is off topic, and its about another knife company, but it ties back to RAT. I just bought my first Buck 110 and I was real excited about it. I came home and went to the Buck forum to brag, and I have received one response about them. No one seemed to care.
This where I come back to RAT. RAT customers are probably the most enthusiastic knife owners I have ever known. They are genuinely excited when another person receives a RAT, because they love their RATs so much. That truly speaks to how good a product the RATs are, and to how great a company RAT Cutlery is. Just thought I would share this revelation.

Aww, give it time ... ya posted that 2 hours ago. Not everyone lives on the forums, and ya did get a great response from Dave, no surprise.

RAT looks good by itself, no need to compare to others, and the 110 is old news there, RATs are all new and exciting. :D

I just re-read my post, and it didn't come off the way I meant it (I'm a noob at posting on forums). What I was trying to get across was that the RAT people are really fanatics about their RATs. I know that the Buck forum people are good people, they helped influence me in getting a 110. It's just interesting to see the love people have for their blades.

Looks like I really put my foot in my mouth.:foot: Sorry bout that. Didn't mean to.

No problem, I just wanted to reassure you.
You didn't come off as mean or anything like that. :)

I just think the Buck guys are normal knife nuts.

These RAT Cutlery guys are just plain wierd and scary!

I mean, they only use guys from Texas as Mods:eek:, thats just nuts if you ask me!

:D

Not a problem polarwolf21... you're fine. Sometimes we get something that we are excited about and want others to share that excitement too.. that's normal. Esav gave you good advice.

RAT Cutlery is creating a lot of excitement by offering some fantastic products along with great customer service. The market will always reward companies that offer a combination of great service & great products that are offered at a fair price.

Oh yeah? I live in Columbia, the most knife unfriendly are in MD.

What? Unfriendliness in the People's Republic of Columbia? Say it ain't so, after all, all you have to do is have a bumper sticker on your Prias that states - "Choose Civility." You know, as you casually cut people off in traffic up and down Snowden River Parkway. :D

You know... the more I read your posts, the more I appreciate them. Nice to see that voice of reason and sensibility here.

I was surprised he came to the RAT forums for solace and comfort, but hey... to each their own.

One small point: I think some DO live on this forum!

I live in this forum, well, most of the time, anyway. RAT people are just overly excited because we get better the more people we bite :D

Just west of you in Mt. Airy, (Howard Co. part, so we are still kin), so I feel your pain. Did see a guy from Columbia, (really), selling some bumper stickers at a gun show, which were the opposite of the stupid "Choose Civility" ones - just can't think of the wording right off hand. I believe those things are particular only to the Howard Co./Columbia area. :barf:

Howard County, especially Columbia, classic Americana suburbia where they cut down the trees and then name the streets after them. And these "roundabouts!" Someone needs a foot in their ass over these things. :D
