Hey guys, I’m a first time poster here and I’m not sure what category this would fall into, so I’m just putting it here. I’m sure mods have the ability to move it or something like that.
First off, I was wondering how to disassemble the Crkt squid. I haven’t seen any videos on youtube on how to do it. Is it like dissasembling the pilar? Also what bits would i need to this?
2. Should I lubricate after dissasembling the knife(the knife will be brand new when disassembled) if so, what lubricant should i use? It should be food safe. A lot of people have used nano oil, is nano oil food safe?
3. The reason I want to disassemble is because i am doing a scale swap. I am making a scale out of g10. I was wondering how to tap the g10 to put the screws in. How do i make the threads line up with screw? I have never done this before
4. The squid has a little pin near the spine of the handle for which i assume is to stop the blade from opening further. How is this attatched the handle?
5. Are there washers i can purchase online to make the action smoother?
6. Do i need to buy new screws?
Thank you guys for reading my post.
