I was looking at my Trident satin blade with black handle and wondering how hard it would be to swap the handle with a cooler digital camo. the goal being to keep the plain edge satin blade on a much cooler handle. are assisteded opening blades impossible to reassemble or just difficult?

I've taken my Flash 1&2 apart several times. They can be a little difficult to get back together your first time but once you see how it works it's not too hard. Just make sure the blade is open when you disassemble it so you relieve some of the spring tension. And pay attention to the small parts, particularly the small "bearing" that allows the safety to click on and off.

cool. i've heard that kershaws are particularly hard to reassemble. i don't particularly want to paint it or anything by i do enjoy taking my knives apart and cleaning them.

Same here. The trident is similar to the flash. The knives I carry more, I take apart and clean once in a while. It's nice to see how they work too.
