dissolving locktite

There is locktite stuck in the threads of the bolt and socket of the pivot on my boker trance, and it's making the screw very tight, as well as preventing me from tightening the screw down all the way. Is there something I can drop the pieces in to dissolve away the locktite? Will mineral spirits work?
