Distinguishing Sharpmaker Rods

I put my sharpmaker rods in the dishwasher this morning to clean them, laying them out in a specific order as I always do. Unfortunately, my roommate unloaded it while I was out, and now my fine and ultra-fine rods are mixed up. :grumpy:
Any ideas on how to tell them apart? (The red dye on the ends washed off a long time ago.)
Thanks

Don't the UF rods feel finer to your fingertip than the F? Mine do. The F rods have a definite smooth texture to them, while the UF feel more like glass.

Give it a try.

Can't tell the difference by feel, and I don't have a magnifying glass handy, but one set of rods definitely has rounded edges, so I'm pretty sure I've got it.

Thanks for the quick help. :)

I did exactly the same thing and the red marker came off. I have since used a sharpie to mark the ends of the UF rods. I prefer hand washing now, it works better and is quicker.
