I sat and watched todays news. I try and only watch for anything new. Our hometown heros ( firefighters and police) finding more survivors. More information on who had anything to do with this tragedy. I try not to watch the media make stories out of other peoples loses. So like I have been doing on the hour I turn the news on to see any new developments.

Well this time I was outraged. CNN was interviewing people US citizens in an open forum. I turned the station to hear a person talk about how we are all living in this world together, and how violence is not the answer to solve this attack. He went on to say that we must find other ways to live together in this world.

Well I say to you. Tell that to the thousands of people who lost there family and loved ones. Tell that to the hundreds of orphans who will never see there Mothers or Fathers again. Tell that to the thousands of people who have risked there lives to save those who still may be alive in the ruins of what these terrorist have left.

I am ashamed that there are people like you in this great nation that feel that this act should go untouched. That we should not use violence to defeat violence. That the thousands of American lives lives lost mean nothing to you.

I sat in my backyard tonight with my wife and son and we talked about this tragedy. I told my wife and son "Why don't we have a US Flag hanging from our house every day? Why did we wait for something like this to happen, to try and get a flag?" And I thought to my self it's not because I'm not proud to be an American. I show my support everyday. It's because we must now realize that America must come together as one. We must realize that terror can strike us this close to home. We must support what ever action we have to take to make our great nation safe again.

There is no time to feel sorry for what will happen to those who are responsible for this. We must support what our country will do to these cowrds that think they can beat us.

When I here what I did on CNN today all I can think of is people who think that nothing violent should be done to these people, they should be loaded on a boat or a plane and flown to Afganistan to live. Let them see if they will live the lives us Americans have fought so hard to keep and live. Our freedom in America has come at a great cost throughout history. We have fought and died many a battle so that we can live the way we do today. And if any one who claimes to be an American wants to challange that, then I say to you. Go live in the third world countries that support the terrorist that caused this great tragedy. If you think that this should go without action then that is where you deserve to live. Without the freedom millions of Americans have fought for.

I heard Presidant Bush say today " That anyone who wears the uniform be prepared to go to war" Sir I say to you that anyone who wears the uniform is already prepared to go to war. I say that if we don't go to war to defend our great nation than I don't want to wear the uniform anymore.

We will overcome this great tragedy. Hopefully this has opened the eyes of those who don't believe. Or to those who believe that we can't be touched on our own soil. Life as we know it will never be the same.

United we stand. Together we will prevail.

These are my thoughts.

One of the positive things that might come of this tragedy is that the mainstream media may finally be exposed for what they are. The big three have had to backpeddle pretty quickly to mend their fences with a president that today enjoys 86% support. They ticked off a lot of people with that crap. Some of the print media have done the same, even the New York Times. CNN has always leaned about as far left as anything outside of Russia, so their flying the pinko flag is not surprising. I noticed that CNN's little 3 minute capsule on the tragedy played John Lennon music, while the Fox capsule played the United We Stand, Divided We Fall theme and Proud To Be An American.

Pacifists are always around and to be expected. Hopefully there is enough rage in this country to shout them down this time.

The first thing we have to defeat are any notions of politically correct BS. Major networks and CNN are not allowed in my home. We need to turn them off...

Yeap, I said this in my rant on Micks post the other day...what is REALLY going to make me mad is when those chickens--t liberal WOMEN POLITICIANS FROM CALIF start with their "give peace a chance" mantra along with "lets take away the guns from an increasingly unstable public"...........did you guys notice that the resolution passed in the house the other day unnamimously.........with one dissenting vote from CALIF..........wonder who that could be???????????

These people are pissing me off so much. Every time I watch the news it seems all they do is ask "would you call this war?". What a dumb question, as soon as it happened my first thought was if this isn't war then what is? The only thing that made me feel better was the wrestler "Bradshaw" saying how we were going to make a stinking parking lot out of the terrorist's country.

Vinnie and Tom,
It is sad when something like this is the only thing that can bring the country closer together and start flying flags, mine has been up everyday since I got one in Jan. We are discussing in the office that people that were patriotic before this were thought of as weird by the mainstream, and now everybody is being patriotic.

Mutant,
Somebody on another forum said, "Nuke 'em till they glow, then shoot 'em in the dark." I am just glad I don't have to make those decisions, and I hope that the leaders of this country think long and hard and investigate before they do that.

It is sickening when CNN talks about this horrible event. They report it as if it was an accident.

Take it easy and remember those families in your prayers,
Reed

Like I said on my forum over at knifeforums.....I am SO GLAD this didnt happen on Clintons watch (although he certainly had something to do with provoking it!!)
Soon the bleeding hearts are going to start saying "Now, lets not provoke them!!"
What we need is some Congressmen and Senators with the balls to do whats right and kick the rest of them out (send them to Afghanistan would be a better solution!)

Tom, Senator Shelby (A liberal to boot.) is urging Double Ya to review our assassination policy. And the CIA want's to hire "unsavory", characters.

If that's not progress what is? ;)

That is good news, we should be able to assassinate chosen targets, and CNN should be required to show the footage of it after it is over. The bleeding hearts are going to be coming out of the woodwork in the next few weeks. They were just lying low until everyone got over the shock, now they are going to use what happened as a reason to try and spread their disease to others. Hopefully, patriotism and common sense will make most people turn a deaf ear to them.

I hear ya. All we can do is hammer them back in when they pop out.
As a high school student I can tell you, that most of my generation will not forget.

We've donated our blood, money, and our prayers as well. (We've had a moment of silence everyday since the attack.) Our town also had what was basically a wake for those lost, as well as a time for reflection with many "central" figures from our community, and a patriotic show of support for all those involved and/or affected. A little over three-hundred showed up. Today we had an optional rememberance ceremony around the flag pole at school to show our support. The front lawn was full.

Our country has been united before and each time we have drifted apart, only to be retaught past lessons and unite as a stronger whole. Maybe this time the cracks will be sealed.
