My newest inspiration of Master Walter Brend' work.

steel - D2 - 3/16" (4,7 mm)- 59 HRC
length - 12.834" (326 mm)
blade (to the "beak") - 6.700" (170 mm)
handle - maroon linen micarta / 416 SS

A fitting tribute, indeed. Amazing 'flow'.

I love the placement of the pin at the finger guard. Simple joys.

super looking knife and a nice photo. for me I'd only want two other things. either wood or other natural material for the handle and a tapered tang. Actually, I'd be inclined to look for a nice bolster also. That could find it way into a collection I can think of for sure

I'm glad you named it, because that baby is alive. The handle is pure creme de la creme, and the blade might even be better. Dress it up with some marble-cake ironwood and perhaps a tapered tang, as Murray suggests, and your life may never be the same.
