Dive Equipment Recommendation

Looking for Dive equipment recommendations. I have been diving about a year and half and have purchased the mask snorkel fins wet suit. Now I need to pick-up a BC, regulator and dive computer. I have been renting this stuff from the local dive shop but nothing jumps out and says this is it. I do a lot of abalone diving so the mask, fins and wet suit were really important. Almost all of my diving will be cold water type. Anyhow what are you guys using and do you like it.

Back in the day, I used mostly Mares stuff. Good quality. Not sure what their current line-up is, but I loved their older stuff -- Hi-Lift BC, Abyss Regulator, MR12-III regulator, etc.

Had some Tusa stuff (mask, snorkel, fins) and it was a great deal for the money as well.

Haven't been for a while, but I prefer Mares and ScubaPro. Really can't go wrong with any of their stuff.



ps. I just reread your post - abalone diving? Oh yeah, add a steel cage and a modified Glock 17 for underwater use against those big white fishies...
