I just acquired a Mission Knives MPT Ti for use as a Scuba Diving knife.
However, the factory sheath leaves alot to be desired--in a word it sucks. While the kydex portion is fairly well-fitted, the belt portion and safety straps are made of inferior (read=cheap) materials. Additionaly, while it functions as a belt sheath, it is not particularly adaptable for use as a Scuba Diving Calf-Sheath.
Can anyone recommend a kydex-sheath maker who understands Scuba Diving, and can fashion a functional Calf-Sheath for the MPT? I would like the sheath to attach by utilizing the ubiquitous rubber straps available in any Dive Shop, and have a user-friendly but safe retaining mechanism (I'm particularly fond of the system employed by the Underwater Kinetics "Blue Tang" knife series).
Anyway, all input, references, and recommendations appreciated!
Cheers,
