Any one handle one of these blades. They look good from the pictures. I like the handles, blade shapes and their sheaths, also they seem have a good selection (when available). How is their 1095 steel, or are more steel options? Maybe I should have already of known about them, but they slipped through my radar...

There 1095 is as good as any from what I have seen. I dont personally own one but have heard but great things about them.

THANK YOU MR. KNIGHT, If anyone else can chime in it would be appreciated. Don't make me find out for myself...cause I will!!!:onthego:

Abe has been making knives for a long time. All his blades are hand ground (no jigs used to get those nice lines). I have owned Diving Sparrow knives since the beginning and can highly recommend them particularly his Boreal and the NBS (Northern Bushcraft Survival). My preferred steel that Abe works with is ATS-34 but the blades in 1095 take a very sharp edge and hold it. The best part of a Diving Sparrow knife is the handle. Each handle is hand shaped and no more comfortable handles exist.

I'll chime in... i just received #2 & #3 of my Diving Sparrow collection recently. Could not be happier. I have two in 1095, and one in ATS-34. 1095 is the way to go, and if you're thinking Scandi, his 5/32' thickness is ideal. The edge holding is remarkable, but Abe's strongest suit is his handles. They are by far the most comfortable I've seen, and I've seen a few!

I am in the middle of doing up a review of my Medium Woodcrafter and Boreal, so I won't say much just yet, but suffice to say the review will be positive!! I really love these knives.
