Was curious if anyone has knowledge who made this DivTul inspired tool for Wilson Tactical?
It is D2 and US made very good fit and finish.
Any thoughts are appreciated :)

Looks a lot better than their current Cop Tool by Boker (since around 2010.)
I can't find who made the original $100 D2 one (circa 2007 or so), but it looks like this may be one of those, modded up.
WT221BK. Designed by Roy Huntington, made in USA. Came with a cord-wrapped handle, so the micarta would be a custom job. As would the partially-serrated blade. Looks like they came fully serrated.
There also seems to have been a Cop Tool2 at some point, but I can't find a picture or article on it - just reference to its existence.
Looks a bit longer than 6" OAL (mostly, blade longer than 1.5 or 1.75"), which makes me think it may be a 2.
Wonder if Ryan or anyone at Wilson would be available to chat about that piece, and who made the pricey D2 ones before Boker came in.

Don't think it had anything to do with the Becker...

Good luck!
Should be a handy little device.

tjswarbrick,
Thank you for the repsonse!
I found some details just now that will make a bit of sense of the blade.
This is not the COP Tool. This is the SRT. Which is much larger and has the more traditional handles.
One of the popular used knife online stores has a hanful listed over the years. They are 5" blades, 10.5" overall and 14.5oz. And in finding the other knives Wilson sold in the past it fits in style and design. So I believe you are correct that if someone crom the company would kindly chime in.
Thanks!

Not a Short Reach Trigger...

I see that tool now! Hard to gauge size from just one photo.
Hope I at least guided you in the right direction.

Some online speculate that Wilson made the D2 knives/tools in-house. They seem to have excellent Fit-n-Finish and quality control.
If you really want to know, you could hop over to their website and give 'em a call or send a quick message.
They're supposed to have pretty good customer service.

tjswarbrick,
Your info helped a lot! I really appreciate it. I enjoy hunting for information.
I think I will try your idea and contact Wilson. Thank you :)

it's an out and out full blown copy imho

not even subtle there...

right from the gut hook (which is a wire cutter on the Becker), and the 45 degree corner - that's a touch most prybars wouldn't have

Boker more or less copied the entire Becker line at one point, and even had the same handles (auction surplus iirc), and then started making their own when they ran out. banned from legal import iirc.

I agree it looks like a copy. This was way before Boker though. This was Wilson Combat USA in 2005. And they were pricey if what I am seeing is true. Many of the Wilson.blades of this quality are 300.00 and up.
The SRT dwarfs the current COP tool.
