I was wondering if any one around here has tried a DIY aluminum anodizing as I've seen the posts on DIY ti anodizing. Just got my POS gerber back from warrenty (well its a NIB replacement, but yeah). Paraframe II so it has aluminum handles and if it can be something as simple as the DIY ti anodizing I might pull it apart and do the handles.

I'm not familiar with that model, but they may already be anodized. Anodizing can be clear, or any color. Aluminum anodizing requires sulphuric acid, voltage, steam, and dyes. It can be done at home, but requires some skill and specialized equipment. www.mini-lathe.com has links.
Your handles can also be electroless nickel plated.
